The Stories Places Tell
Two part studies of neon signs, hand painted letters, gate patterns and vintage sports graphics. These themes represent a visual dialog between my home in the Bay Area and some of the places I have been able to travel to including; a handful of other US cities, Mexico, Panama, Belize, Cuba and Jamaica. Traveling to different places and times through an assemblage of memories. •

Nov. 26, 1998: If you didn't see the Thanksgiving game 19 years ago, that's what a 4.15 looks like. Rookie Randy Moss had 3 catches for 3 TD's, all over 50 yards, 2 of which came in the 1st quarter. The final score was 46-36, but it wasn't that close. Dennis Green at the beginning of the clip was referring to Moss's 3rd TD reception of the '98 game, a 3rd quarter sprint down the sideline. Moss looked like he wasn't even straining. This is the 3rd year in my tradition of posting this play on Thanksgiving; for the first time I'm showing all 3 touchdowns. Also, I've included a mic'd up Moss moment from the 2000 season against the other team that always plays on Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions. Randy guarantees a touchdown to the NFL Films camera man on the sideline, catches the TD, then reminds the camera of his prediction. As of posting, I'm watching the Vikings at Detroit on Fox, and Troy Aikman, QB of the Cowboys at the time, is calling the game with Joe Buck, who called Moss' moon-gesture to Packers fans a "disgusting act" live. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! @randygmoss
